Property Search

Finding a Property

The first step is to register with us, we will send you property details within minutes of any new instruction that are suitable for you, we will also send you a weekly summary of recent new instructions and a remainder of all properties that we have available that meet your criteria. To assist you even further in your property search, you can also view all suitable properties and book viewing appointments on your smart phone, tablet and game consoles.

It is wise to start looking about a month before you wish to move, as the nicer properties are viewed and reserved quickly.

Our tenancies are generally granted for a minimum term of 6 months, which may be renewed if all parties are in agreement.


Viewings will be arranged at times to suit you, including evenings and weekends, and you will invariably be accompanied by a member of staff, who can give advice and answer any questions you may have. All viewings must be made prior to appointment and are only to be arranged through Homelinklink Lettings.

“Homelink Lettings” cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies that may inadvertently occur in the property details and description.


Tenants will be required to pay a Holding Deposit (bond). This is usually a minimum of £200. Providing the tenancy goes ahead, this will be deducted from the first monthly rental and the tenancy deposit, which are due before you move in.

In the event that the landlord declines to grant the tenancy, it will be refunded to you in full.

However the holding deposit will be non-refundable if you decide not to proceed for any reason, or if you fail to provide complete and accurate information in your application.

Until a fee is paid the property will remain available for other prospective tenants to view and apply. Once the fee is paid the property will be reserved as “let” and no further viewings will take place, the property will be let subject to satisfactory referencing and subject to contract.

We use two external company’s Homelet and Vorency’s to carry out our references, a full credit check will be undertaken and you will need to provide them with your current landlord details if you are currently renting or provide proof of ownership if you own your own home. You will also be asked to provide your employment details.

Tenants are also able to put their tenancy’s in a company name or add a guarantor if required.

To comply with the Anti Money Laundering regulations, each of the tenants and any guarantor must provide photographic ID, e.g. Passport or Driving Licence with the paper counterpart and a current utility bill dated within the last 3 months which will act as the proof of your address.


Rents are normally quoted calendar monthly, and payable monthly in advance. The tenant is usually also responsible for Council Tax, Water Rates, Gas, Electricity and Telephone costs. All rents are payable by bank standing order to our company bank account or your landlord's bank account.


A security deposit of a minimum of one and a half month's rent will normally be required. This deposit will be treated in accordance with the Tenancy Deposit Protection regulations, and you will be provided with the appropriate prescribed information and receive details regarding the scheme used. The deposit is held to cover damage, breakages, and any other liabilities under the terms of your tenancy agreement. Please note that under no circumstances can the deposit be used by the tenant to cover rent.


In some cases pets can be accommodated but only with the landlord’s approval. You will be in breach of your tenancy agreement if you do not inform us prior to start of tenancy.


All our properties are non-smoking. You will be in breach of your tenancy agreement should you, any permitted occupiers or visitors smoke at the property.
